Finally I have my own set of wheels, making it all the more easier to explore! Once we get all of our paperwork stuff settled of course. If in case you're wondering WHAT paperwork it is that is coming between us and exploration time, well if you've ever been in the military or know of someone who is (I haven't, so this is all new to me), it's not that easy to get on base without the proper identification; and as DoD civilians it makes that process a little bit longer unfortunately :/ Add to that getting a house, registering for school and other HR stuff, this past week has been a paperwork nightmare, but we're getting there!
So may I now introduce to you my little "retro style" Suzuki WagonR CZ-sounds fancy huh? I think I'll call her "Suzy"-a fitting name for this car since it does kinda remind me of my little sis: cute, small, and quirky ;)
This little Suzuki is apparently the number one selling car in Japan probably due to it's affordability and practicality, which duh is what I'm all about when I shop. It's called a Kei or K car, that I of course had to Google when the car salesman referred to it as that, which pretty much means "light vehicle". Not the safest cars on the road when it comes to collisions, but with the highest speed in Oki being around 50-60 km/hr, most people are fine driving around in these cars on a day to day basis (I hope...eeeek!).
Any way, I'm happy with my car and hope to keep it as clean as it is now. Seriously, this car is the cleanest "used" car I've ever seen (as are most cars here in Japan from what I've seen), and at 14 years old, it's pretty much in pristine condition!
Ah yes, thanks to my awesome husband (HUSBAND?! still sounds weird to type :p) for my new toy <3
