Kicked off the long weekend with a trip to the Chaurami Aquarium which was about 1 1/2 hours away from our house, but well worth it. Plus, no better way to explore the island than to drive around and take in the scenary-which is so pretty...the drive definitely reminded us of Hawaii.
The aquarium hosts the second largest tank in the world where it houses whale sharks...it was so cool!
The best part of this day was definitely stopping at this quaint little tree village. It's called Bise Village and is surrounded by Fuguki trees; and it's just so peaceful. When we pulled into the village we were a little hesitant as the roads were tiny and we couldn't find any where to park but we finally did find this open lot & walked down the trails, which was amazing. Imagine being surrounded by trees with the beach a few steps always...quiet...beautiful.
We walked down this long trail where we finished off our evening at Marble Beach. This beach is actually part of the aquarium which is nice since it's netted and supervised by lifeguards. The boys had fun playing in the sand and chasing hermit crabs while TZ and I enjoyed the view...we'll be back for sure.
