I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place because it was absolutely delicious! And a first for us as it was a "yakiniku" style restaurant aka Japanese barbecue.
Yesterday night we ventured out to find some dinner. And what better area to explore than our soon to be neighborhood? We drove towards our house -to-be and are excited that we actually have a lot of options-one being TZ's favorite curry place, Coco Curry House (I'll devote a post to that later). With about three different restaurant options less than a few blocks away, we decided on this place. I say "this place" because we have no idea what it's called-we literally pulled in, smelled yummy food, and went for it.
We were seated in a "tatami" style room which I mentioned before how horrendous of an experience it was for us with a crazy one year old with a need to run and grab. But this room was actually enclosed which allowed us the chance to "trap" him...yuuuusssss.
Basically we were seated in front of a small charcoal fueled grill (not sure what it's called-I'll google later) with a vent hood above it to get rid of the fumes then after we selected what we wanted, we were brought out delectable platters of raw meats and veggies. Not gonna lie, when I saw "raw meat" on the menu the dietitian in me panicked for 0.5 seconds until I realized we would actually be cooking the meat...phew! Secretly worrying about cross-contamination while TZ grilled it up was another story, but he did really well!
Did I mention this place is right by our house? It's definitely more of a "treat" meal kinda place, or for when visitors come...any takers? :)
