Today we went to a mini zoo where you can also buy fresh, local eggs. Yes that's right-an egg shop that sells amazing eggs and other yummy treats that also houses a mini zoo...and let me just say, this place is all kinds of quirky and awesome. I didn't know if I should put this post under our family stuff (becaus of the "zoo") or in this food-related section ,but then I remembered how freaking delicious the cream puff I had there was, and well, food section wins.
This place has a few names; wish I knew its official name, but so far I've read it's called the Zukeran egg shop & zoo and the mini mini zoo-I'll call it the egg zoo ;)
When you walk in, you can either go to the egg shop or walk straight through to see the animals. Of course with the boys in tow, they wanted to go straight to see the animals; if it had been up to momma, we'd have gone straight to the yummy desserts :)
There were a good amount of small animals but of course nothing like a "zoo" zoo; kinda reminded me of Rachel's Country Corner (my SW folks will know what I'm talking about!) or like the Snake Farm in San Marcos. The best part though was that it's free to peruse on through to see the animals, however, you def wouldn't want to leave without visiting the egg shop and at least buying something there, you know, to help feed the animals and all :) and if that's the case, I'll be sure to visit as much as possible for the sake of the animals ;) plus this place is 5 mins from my house, yesss!
